sadio 420 bars make this rat so climbable....and I need to be able to climb, where I live...

I thought all old us made balloon tire frames used 1" steer and headsets.....but when I went to install a 1" threadless, it looks like I need an 1 1/8". Is that possible? or are there a miriad of different sizes that I should be aware of? g

I've resurrected the first ss mountain bike that I built up back in the fall of 1999. I picked the frame up from nashbar on close out for sixty clams and rode it on and off for a year, till Matt Chester built me a propper ss frame. It's been built up as a ridable bike a time or two since then...

I bought it at an amish garage sale about ten years ago....rides real nice.
