    go to your local salvage and buy the appropriate tubing. go to your local muffler shop and ask (pay) them to bend your tubing in the middle. take it home, measure twice, cut once. drill your own holes.

    Fewer balls, lower rolling resistance. In the old days before sealed bearings and ball cages, free balls were the rule. the pros would remove a ball or two to gain an edge with lower rolling resistance. It worked apparently. also, if you disassemble a sealed bearing, you'll find a cage in them...

    I was riding my 1959 Schwinn Wasp 650b conversion. I built it yesterday using some parts I had and a few from the LBS. (New wheels, new bottom bracket new tubes new chrome chain) I geared it a bit too high not taking into account the larger wheels. It's 46x16 now, think I'm going to try 46x18...
