The guy said he painted it up in a MP scheme, so that's why it looks newer. I believe this is a 1939 Shelby, so my question is sans the military scheme, is this a rare bike if it were in its original civilian paint?

With very little knowledge on vintage bikes, let alone this Shelby, I wouldn't know what to look for. The seller also said they won't consider any "low ball" offers.

I came across a 1939 Shelby Airflo Cruiser that has been painted in OD military colors. The owner said that it was originally used by the military, so I wanted to put it out there for the forum members to help. They want $300 for it, but I don't know if that's in the ballpark. Thank you Stony

Just stopped by to learn all about vintage bicycles, etc. Because of my life long interest in military history, my bicycle interest is of the same, particularly bikes that were used around the bases. Cheers, Stony
