Hey RRB community!
Long ago, I had an account here, and it didn't get far because I couldn't upload photos.
Now I have that ability, so I'm back!
I'm a professional bike mechanic, and a vintage bike specialist. I have a real weakness for AMF bikes. Pictured are my 1960s Skyrider Deluxe rat...
I just got hit by a car. A gold Ford Taurus, which happens to be my least favorite car of all time. I was on a moped at the time, and both the car and the moped are completely ruined, as well as my leg. Anyone else have a similar experience?
Well, ive been through a lot with this old bug and I hate to say it, but I kind of despise it now. This car is a 1963 vw standard beetle, originally Anthracite Grey with white interior. It still has its original 1200cc engine, which is completely indestructable and rarely has a fault, but it is...
I like to ride my bike in the country, and it for some reason attracts dogs. After being chased many times, I find myself constantly paralysed in fear of stray dogs... What do you guys do to fend them off?
It may be a massively stupid idea, but i just got a 28-hole Sturmey-archer kickback 3 speed hub, and all my rims are 36-hole, so i need to know, if i strategically position the missing spokes and use the thickest possible spokes could i pull it off?? i could even plug weld the extra spoke holes...
So i picked up this motobike at a swapmeet as an upside-down bike. It lived a hard life, and it showed. I had to grind off the pole welded to the BB just to get it right-side-up. A couple months and three cannibalized bikes later, here she sits in krylon ruddy brown and cream. The only part used...
Picked this up for 50 bucks. Prewar schwinn, upside down. Rides like a drunk on roller skates. I took all the upside-down stuff off and am going to make it a motorbike. The original owner made this in the '60s and rode it rough for years. The frame is ok, luckily :D
Since i got my columbia, I have put a mongoose bmx sprocket on, schwinn bow pedals, redid the seat, painted the rims, and added a Firestone Speed Cushion up front. And yes, I did make the bike to match my rat rodded 63 bug. 8)

I have a columbia newsboy special from the early 1950's. I wanted to know when exactly what year it was from, but the serial number has been welded over and stamped crudely with FCF. What could this mean? Why would someone do this? :x :?:
Air cooled vw's are often the choice of rat rodders, with their infinite customizeability. I have a ratted-out death-racer 1963 beetle with a 1200cc engine and no muffler 8) . Pics coming soon. What do you have? What are the specs?
Got this bike two days ago. Re-covered the seat, added whitewalls, and now its a rider. I paid 150, and this frame is unlike any i have seen. the frame reads "special", and the serial number only has 3 illegible punched-in letters on the bottom bracket. Also, anyone out there got a front fender...

Hello. I am 14 and have been collecting bikes for almost that long. I have 5 bikes, a 1964 blue schwinn stingray, a Duemila folder, a 1954 schwinn traveler,an all-chrome 1958 firestone, and an exttremely rare early 50s columbia that i traded a motorbike for yesterday. I will post pics as soon as...
