Thanks, that is exactly as I understood it. Think I'll track down a Teflon liner if I can as I have welded a bit with the existing. This WILL be my practice project so I'm not planning on beauty for sure..

Thought about powder coating with candy? I have a friend that had the candy blue done on a old stingray and it was really nice. Takes lots of prep either way but powder is also super durable. Just my 3 cents... Stephen

Didn't they use the newer body style Firebird before it was on the showroom floor? Surprised they didn't do the same with the future Camaro... but I too am a Ford guy and the GT500 is pretty wild in OE form. Should be interesting.

I have a 26 x 3" that I will use someday. Every stock rear triangle I've tried will not work except my Trials bike. The 3" is not only wider but taller as well coming in at almost 27" in my case on a stock width rim. It will work on a stock rim but I did have it pop off after the first mount/air...
