I would put a piece of flat plate across the top following the chain stays and then hide an angle iron under it the full length that you were showing of putting it in between the stays. This should give you the needed strength and not ruin the looks.

I got some work done on it, most of the work was cutting apart an old build that never worked out. So far it seems to be fitting together well. The crank will go on the frame about where it sit on the ground. Here is my thinking stool

Yea grade 8 bolts and nuts should hold up better to due that type of work.

I do hope you just didn’t order an AC transformer as that will not work with straight DC power coming from the battery’s. You will need a DC to DC step down power supply.

What I plan on doing is take a bearing cup from a three piece crank set and welding it to a pipe that slips over the hub of the wheels I have to attach the freewheel to the rear wheel. This should work if the way I envision it all going together works out. Both the freewheel hub and 3 piece BB...

Well I got the hump welded on.

Float the flame in there by using thin gauge wire that is blacked out so it isn't as noticeable and make the flame the center of attention...

If either of them will clear the forks you will be using you can always widen the chain and seat stays without to much of a problem as I have found on a couple build I have done in the past. If you need some ideas I could show you what I did before.

This freewheel cog should work out with this setup and give me an ok gearing... So I will have a 60T chainring, 12T freewheel & 8" wheels.
