    TRADITIONAL Stir Crazy

RRBO19 is in the books for Stir Crazy. I started with a 25 dollar marketplace find 1953 CWC. It was coated with heavy green house paint, missing fenders, tank and chainguard. Multiple coats of stripper, and a pile of swap meet finds later and a finished bike emerged. It rolls and rides like a...

I've used extruded aluminum on several projects but never thought about on a bike. Killer pedals.

    TRADITIONAL Stir crazy

I did a last minute final details yesterday and got in a few pics before the rain cut loose this morning. I did another little stripe on the tank chainguard, headlight and fender tips. The red oxide primer was a pretty close match to the tires. A few more pics this afternoon and i will start my...

Thanks. I usually use brass nuts and bolts when I can to to match up with the brazing on the frame. Thanks. I really liked how the patina worked out on this bike. I took a couple of photos and blew up to 8x10. I looked at them for a couple days trying to decide if it needed more or something...

Great color and right on patina. Your build is similar to mine. Sloppy feel shockmaster forks, one crooked fender and I had to notch my front axel. Nice build

Those skirts look really good on there. I have a set of elgins that I was going to try and use but completely forgot. Hey I still have a few days left. Lo e the way everything is tieing together on your build.

Thanks Kingfish. I enjoyed this build and it went together easier than most.

    TRADITIONAL Stir crazy

I think I'm finally ready for final photos. I raised the front fender brace up to match the rear a little better. I also painted a couple stripes on the tank sides and fender tips. When it dried I rubbed most of it off with a used scotchbrite pad. I also put on a torpedo light which I sprayed...

    TRADITIONAL Yard Art Revival

Using my first shockmaster on my build and it has the same bounce to it. I tried to tighten it up and took some of the bounce out of it. Riding it i didn't notice it much.

Looking good. Some dead flat clear would knock the shine down if you're going for that look. Color match looks good.

    TRADITIONAL Stir crazy

I finished up the rear fender reflector and mounted today. I also cut about 3 inches off the bottom of the fender. I used the cut off piece to trace the end and cut the point back on. I also took the bike for a spin around the neighborhood and everything went smooth. A few more details and off...

    TRADITIONAL Stir crazy

I pulled the fenders off to cut a little off the ends. I was looking through my parts stash to find a taillight or reflector to mount up when I finished chopping. I found both. I found an old seiss headlight without any insides or lens and a inch and a half reflector that covered the opening...
