    Pre war Elgin.

My dad picked this up for me at a garage sale. I had the tank, wheels and handle bars for another Elgin Porject. The bike was complete and ride-able when I got it but, my parts were in better shape so I swapped. Thanks dad!

    Speed Cult HD sprockets.

I ran into the guys from Speed Cult at the Saline antique bike show and suggested that they start making sprockets. Well, I just got back from the Sins of Steel show here in Michigan and they are now making HD replica sprockets. They were $12 at the show. Unfortunately a skiptooth chain...

    My latest single speed.

This was built with some parts from my Noir Trespas (black death) build. Weight was my main concern. It features a aluminum aero frame, spinergy front wheel, full carbon fork, Ti bottom bracket, carbon stem and seat post.

    S90 Racer project.

Hey all, I have not been posting for a while. I have kind of lost interest in building bikes lately. Not sure why. Maybe its because I have so many I don't have room to work on them! I plan on selling some at the Saline show coming up on May 1st. I would offer some here for sale but...

    Freebie Schwinn.

My mom asks "how much for the bike" reply "free if you buy something"! Turns out to be a Feb 1960 Schwinn Panther II. It might be a Jaguar but, I need to take a closer look at the fenders. If they are stainless then I guess it is a Jaguar. The bike was originally black. Has the wrong...

    1945 Schwinn "The World"

I got this from a northern Mich junk yard last year. It was sitting outside at my house and I started feeling sorry for it! I spent part of yesterday and today cleaning and greasing the BB and the hubs. The wheels did not come on it, but work well. They have New Departure hubs with the...

    My Karfer tribute!

I have been holding onto this frame for a while now... just waiting for the time and money to build a bike like Karfer's Higgins. Well the stars are starting to align and I've started the build. I don't even remember where I bought the frame, but I had it chemically striped about a year ago...

    Super clean Hawthorne.

My parents found this for me at a garage sale. I'm guessing early 60s? Like new except for some chips and scratches.

    My new Chief.

I just got this on Thursday. Of course it rained all day  I love the way it rides, but I do plan on changing a few things. I changed the seat to a Masi with double springs and rivets across the back. I would like to either add truss rods to the fork or switch it to a tubular w/ triple...

    Hendee racer.

As I mentioned in the discussion area, this will be a tribute to the first Indian boardtrack bike. George Hendee was the president of Indian motorcycles. I'm starting with the pile o parts in the bottom picture. Early 70s Schwinn continental frame, 28" wheels from oldy57, dogleg crank, etc...

A bunch of motorbikes and a Ford!

First I need to apologize to Greystoke for not inviting him yesterday. I got a call from Lowell on Friday afternoon telling me he would be at the scrap yard on Saturday. I was supposed to work Saturday, but the weather was supposed to be nice (very uncommon this time of year in Mich) and this...

    Elgin motorbike made roadworthy.

I posted pictures of this bike in the middle of summer. I had just picked it up at the Wauseon antique motorcycle swap/race. I tried to leave the original patina, but make it so I can ride it. The bearings were in surprisingly good shape. I did replace the small set of bearings in the ND...

Question for all you muscle bike experts.

Is this after market or did it come stock on a muscle bike? The tire is a 20" BMX for size comparison. I'm welding the small loop back on it for a friend. He has no idea what it came on.

    More Schwinn road bikes.

It seems like these are growing on trees lately. The silver Continental is a Aug of 75. The brown and yellow Continentals are both 1974s. My neighbor gave me the silver bike along with a extra set of wheels and a real nice mountain bike rear wheel. My parents found the brown and yellow bikes...
