    Unidentified Rolling Mutt

I've been piecing this together out of mixed and matched parts, bmx, mountain, vintage, new, you name it, and figured it was time to post. I can't identify the frame but I'll post a photo of where the headbadge was and see if anyone can tell me what I'm riding.

    Seat Post Issues

I'm trying to work out a seat post that fits into a 5/8 inch tube. I think I may have to find bar stock or tube that fits and shim it out to fit the seat clamp, but I was wondering if you guys had any better ideas. THanks, nuts n' bolts

    Cyclocross

Does anyone have cyclocross bike pics they want to post? I'm becoming increasingly interested in cyclocross, so if you have any experience, please share. I'm thinking about building a cyclocross bike, either for fun/racing or for everyday riding. I'm imagining something with an older frame and a...

    What was your first ooops!!!!!

I realize I probably should have protected my friend's privacy. I have withdrawn the story about his bicycle accident. To sum it up: it was bloody and painful, but he had a sense of humor about it.

    What was your first ooops!!!!!

4 years old- speeding down a paved slope- hit a sandy patch and the bike went sideways. I landed halfway up a small tree. Ouch. My dad wanted me to do it again so he could video tape it. He wasn't kidding. -nuts n' bolts

    MAGIC RAT's Diamond frame bike!

Re: Awesome bike. I had an idea for your shifter. Could you attach a hook to the frame so when you pull the pin to change gears you can hook it in the "pulled" position. That way it would be less "momentary". Great job on the whole bike. I LOVE the wheels and the shifter. -nuts n' bolts

    My Schwinn

Thanks. I made the tank and the brackets holding it to the frame myself. Sheet metal from good ol' Southern California Industrial Metal Supply. I put on a bmx seat post, little pixie bike seat, flipped the handlebars, bullet shells in the hand grips (though you can't really see them), flat tank...

    Eliminating Gears

Hi guys, I'm thinking about rat rodding an old beater deraileur bike, and I'm curious about whether or not I can reduce the front gears to one while keeping multiple gears on the back. Can I put a single sprocket on without taking all the gears off the rear hub? -nuts n' bolts

    Help With Hand Brake Please

Howdy guys, I'm thinking about putting a hand brake on my current bike, a Schwinn Cruiser Four frame. It doesn't have a front or back fork capable of having a normal dual pivot brake. It seems like it would be easiest to put a brake on the rear wheel, because the little cross piece between...

    A MINT MURRAY

Great bike. Did it come with the hand brakes? How do they attach to the frame? I've been thinking about putting one on my current bike, and I would love to see how someone else did it. Thanks, nuts n' bolts

    V brake

How would you recommend installing a brake by swapping the fork? Finding a fork with a front brake? Sounds like a good idea. Please elaborate. -nuts n' bolts
