Oldy57, you have some beautiful bikes. I bet you turned some heads riding that on a tour. My 71 Sports gets a lot of attention. I rode it on a trail at river grade 2 weeks ago for an 18 mile round trip that really wore me out. You forgot to add "Really" in front of Heavy. Still a fun ride...

    Raleigh Sports

The other one went to Jeff aka RatDaddy here in denver. We swap bikes and parts and fix bikes for kids. He has a place to paint and weld and do all the funky stuff. Im getting more into original old classics like this. I dont have the talent or creativity as some of the builders on here so i...

    Another Great Score

It has an original Brooks Professional on it now. Im going all original parts on it. I might just leave these original sewups on it and hang it on the wall next to my Raleigh.

    Raleigh Sports

I actually bought two of them. One sat outside with the cedo lock locked through the back wheel. It was severly faded from the sun and that is where the front fender came from. the front fender that was on this bike was bent beyond repair from my guess was going off of high curbs. On a...

    Another Great Score

I saw this in the back of a coworkers truck heading for the dumps. I showed interest in it and he is the kind of guy that wants something for everything. anyway i thought it was cool and gave him $50.00 for it. Turns out to be a 1972 Peugeot PX10 top of the line racing bike and these were...

My other vehicle is a locomotive

Im in heaven. That would be my ultimate bike. Steam power on two wheels. Ive been to Tilden many times and strange as it seems, Im actually wearing a redwood valley railroad t-shirt right now. I had a battery powered Mckeen car for a while when I lived in San Diego. I rode it on the LALS...

http://www.sheldonbrown.com/raleigh.html You should find a lot of info scouting through the Sheldon Brown site. But as with my raleighs, the wheel doesnt always match the year of the bike. Plus many were worked on or cannibalized to keep others running. You have some projects there, Im a...

    Raleigh Sports

I actually bought 2 of these, so far this is the best of both. The Cedo lock works, the lights work, thats the original bell and it shifts nicely. I still need to get the tailight back on. From what I can tell on the late Sheldon Browns page, its a 1970-1971 model.

My other vehicle is a locomotive

Greetings, I was told there was a live steamer on here. Im jealous, I had a kit but never found the time or money to have it built and had to abandon the project. Instead I play with 1/1 scale deisels for the BNSF here in Denver and have a large collection of 1/32 Marklin Maxi in my...

    My 2 newest old bikes

The second Raleigh Sports is faded from the sun, it had a cedo lock stuck through the rear wheel. I was able to get the combination for it from a Raleigh forum and will put it on the nicer bike. This front fender on here is from the other bike. Seems like riding a Raleigh of the curb wipes...

    My 2 newest old bikes

First is a Raleigh Sports from I believe 1970-1971. I actually bought 2 of them, this is the best of both, I have a cedo lock for the rear wheel to put on as well as a tailight. I saved all the premade cables and brakes and will put some single speed wheels on the other and use it as a...

    the French moped

Is this a stock frame or did you modify it. I noticed the frame is different on each side on the rear. On the left it goes to the rear dropout and the right goes above the chainguard. I like the european style of it. very nice 8)

Gentlemen, I Present The Brass Lion

Nevermind the munsters, I think this bike is taking the steampunk movement seriously. There is a guy who rides with the Denver Cruisers on Wednesday nights who converted his mountain bike to the steampunk theme with valves and other brass parts. I will try to get a picture of it this week if...

    Saints and Sinners

I had thought about a dual themed bike like this but was unsure how it would turn out. This picture changed my mind. I think I will keep everything matching. I should get some pics up of mine in the next few days.
