1-1/4" tubing cut to length. I welded nuts in the top for the draw screws...or whatever they are called.

It is indeed a 16" rear wheel. I've been experimenting with different sized cogs on the back to get just the right amount of speed and ease of pedal. It was a Pacific Choppers bike. The triple crown, rear forks, and wheels are all that remain. It has the coaster brake on the back for stopping.
