    Vintage MTB I.D. Help

Don’t believe goose cause the weird lug at the junction of top tube seat tube and fork stays isn’t goose, plus what I told Matti, mongeese have two eared dropouts. Serial number at the bottom rear of seat tube is bizarre. Mongoose didn’t have the oddly bent/shaped drive side chain stay, AND and...

Have, but the serisl Not goose b but my dropouts only have 1 eye or ear for rack attachment, not round but barrel derailleur cable guide on chain stay, and what of the serial being on the rear bottom of the seat tube? Mongeese didn’t do that I don’t think.

A long story on the history,I was given this bike by a friend of my wife whose son rode it while at UC Santa Cruz, and no I don't think it's a Santa Cruz brand. It was a cluster of mangled worm out parts, so I stripped it down and built it backup as 1 x 6 just to putz around on. The strange...

Not Stelber, ok two of these tanks are out there, mine and in a previous post ODDERs, someone has to know what these fit or go to......and if someone says A Bike, I'm gonna scream.

    Help needed with Tank I.D.

ODDER, that's it, Stelber......Canadian? Yours and mine are the only two I've ever freakin' seen anywhere, hang on to it, it looks like we both have really solid tanks, must have taken care of somewhat, thanks ODDER, I have a new path to follow and maybe just maybe I can get to the truth of what...

No the horn mechanism button and mounting holes are original, the mounting holes are press flanged from manufacture.

    Help needed with Tank I.D.

It's not a SCHWINN tank, the geometry at the head stock(front) end of the tank doesn't even come close to any of the 7 different straight bar configurations I have, SCHWINN, Colson, Columbia, Shelby, mead, Huffman Dayton, or any of the Cleveland welding frames that are out there. I've researched...

    Help needed with Tank I.D.

Nope doesn't fit the Twin bars either, tried it on my 61, the construction is for a single top and bottom(straight) bar, doesn't fit over the double bar at all. Yeah it has a SCHWINN decal but it also has an inch of various vintage paint coats, Time to play detective and strip the layers to see...

What is it man ???? It doesn't fit a 51 SCHWINN panther frame, I know cause i've had this on mine, and it just doesn't align with the frame geometry.
