A long while ago, i think it was about the beginning of 2015. During the restoration of my J.C. Higgins Color-Flow ladies bike. I have spotted this J.C. Higgins bike in the center of my home-town. @ The moment when i spotted this bike it was used as a advertising object, for restaurant 073...

My JC Higgins Sears Ladies Bike.

I do know now, that the bike is build-up with different parts. It has fenders with the fold / line in the middle, like the ones @ this bike.(See red Arrow) This rear rack came with the bike. Which i think, it could be a Westernflyer rack. Because this one came with the bike, i'm gonna use...

My JC Higgins Sears Ladies Bike.

Who can help me out on this one?! Last week i have been busy, cleaning up, and tune up the bb of my 50's Higgins bike. First took apart the bb. Cleaned up the frame. As this where the bearings that came out, i needed to put in new ones. I know how the bb nowadays are put together, but this...

J.C. Higgins Sears Roebuck and Co.

Okay thanks M.M. I'm not sure which of the builds it is. I do know that there are different parts used @ the bike. The fenders on my bike are not the smooth round ones. But my bike has the same fenders, with the fold / line in the middle. As the fenders on this bike. ( See red arrow) Because...

J.C. Higgins Sears Roebuck and Co.

Yesterday i've got also this rear rack, wich was on the bike when it came to The Netherlands. But while i was looking for parts i came across a similar rack which is sold as a Western Flyer Roadmaster, so i think this is not a J.C. Higgins part. Is it wise to build up the bike, like the blue...

J.C. Higgins Sears Roebuck and Co.

Wildcat & Rustinkerer, do you both think that the bike shown in Wildcats post, is the way to go for my bike? Because i would like to restore it back to Original. The chainring on my bike is not a skiptooth, but a normal chainring. The seatpost is very thin and bend forward.

J.C. Higgins Sears Roebuck and Co.

@ Nightrider. Do you have pics of a bike which you think it is. Because i would like to make it complete. I do need a rearrack and a chainguard. Shipping to the Netherlands could be arranged trough someone in the US. Who ships it combined with cars.

    Detailed Higgins serial number decoder?

Reading this topic, means that my bike, which i've got yesterday as a late birthday gift. Could be a Murray built bike from '53. But as the serial # MOS-Q MOD 502-286 90586 is stamped @ the bb, means that it's from around the mid/late 50's.
