It does seem to be a 1941 after all, with the aftermarket chain guard. I was told the long tank was only on the 1941's. I would like to get the fork truss rods and correct chain guard, but I'm assuming thats going to be a bit difficult. Here's some pics with that motor removed. Album of...

I just picked up this barn find and was wondering if someone knew the model and year. I think it's a 1938, but not for sure. thanks

I just picked up this Elgin bike with a 1960's or 70's Bike Bug motor attached to it. The old guy thought it was a 1938. I'm having a hard time finding a picture of one with the same head badge, chain guard, and tank. Anyone have any clues to what I picked up? Thanks

Just getting into the rat rob bikes. Purchased a bike with a 49cc motor. Now in the process of tearing it down and repainting the frame. Would like to add a springer fork soon.
