    fitting handlebars

    well, it finally fits but imperfectly. I used a combo of stretching the clamp (with a bolt and penny) and then scraping the parts that were inhibiting the handlebars with a metal file/dremel. I know the stretching isn't great for the structural integrity but i was running out of options...

    Hi there, I'm nearly done my bike but the handlebars won't fit. The stem is fused to the forks so replacing the stem is not an option.     Greetings, I'm a bike nerd from Ontario, Canada. My preference is for BMX bikes (old school) but this caught my eye and it's actually historically linked to BMX's anyway :) Picked this up recently...can't wait to get it up and running again. Will be searching this site for ideas :)
