I think Slick is right on with the price. I think it would go nuts on ebay. I, personally would pull off the basket and leave it just the way it is. I LOVE it and I'm fare from a Schwinn fan.

I added some more blue to the frame and fork, polished the battery tube and added for bling to the rims.

I'm experimenting. I use a peroxide and salt mix with water. When I did the frame, it was down to bare metal and I had it soaked with the mix and shot the paint on it when it was wet. The rack war reverse (the way I normally do it), lightly painted, sanded and then rusted.

Recieved, stripped and aged a rack today. That's about it.....it's like 100 degrees outside right now!

Thanks, it's an Elgin Robin tank. The Robin is always on the top ten prewar bikes list. I don't have the parts to complete the bike so I thought I'd have some fun while I wait.

I made a button delete too. It's not great but it's worth at least a penny

Today, I made Metal straps for the tank and and also made leather belts to wrap around it. Also, I changed, painted and added a fender ornament plus added a little color to the tank.

Leather, but made some brackets today. I'm thinking about wrapping 1 inch leather straps around it.

I found a Deco fender ornament on eBay. I changed the "K" to a "R" for Robin and sanded of the brand name

Not sure about the Chain Guard is from but it's period correct (Prewar). Monark??

I still have some ideas for some changes but here it is so far.

Plenty more rusting to be done to that frame and fork before August
