LOVE this build! There's SO MUCH going on and it all works together!

Thanks man! It was unknown to me how it would mesh with the frame, but it really just fits the geometry so so well. The speed rail gave me a solid base to tie it together too. And I couldn't be happier with how well the engine is turning out to be. This has been a blast so far!

If you are talking about the valve heads and covers, that is Betty Crocker material.

If it's the engine block, then you're talking Kleenex material

I made the brackets to connect the supercharger and valve covers together from my trusty roll of roof flashing

That is what we called him when my grandparents had him hooked up to water in their birdbath when I was a kid. On of my projects is to get the pond pump working again so that he can take a leak again.

Hoping to find time later to finally bolt up the motor to the frame and speed rails.

In the meantime, while handling so e stuff on the house i figured I would share this cool piece of our 1873 house. It turns 150 this year and it is framed with very old growth heart pine. Just look at those beautiful tight growth rings. Nothing like yellow pine. This stuff is just as strong as oak. The smallest framing stud in the house is true dimension 3x4 and 4x4. The cross beams that the two staircases land on are true dimension 3x12 by 23 feet long! When you drill into this old wood (which is basically thick fatlighter), it smells like you drilled into a fresh live pine tree.

Wow! I counted roughly 150 rings in the plank which means added to the 150 years after it was hewn, that tree was alive before our country was founded!

You don't realize how dense that old growth pine is. There's a stretch between Pembroke and Ottawa it was all logging. Our nation's capital was built with it. They brought the logs up the river to Ottawa many sank to the bottom. Fast forward to now I have a freind who harvests those logs brings them to the surface and inside there perfectly fine that's after 150 years under water.
