I started thinking on how to mount the headlight and remembered that I had a small Huffy star chainring. Mounted the light on it to see if it made sense or not.
My first impressions of it were good, so I took starsNbars outside to be able to step back and see it better from all angles. First thing I noticed was for the light to be straight, the chainring was going to be slanted.
I like it, but I want the chainring to be parallel to the ground.
So I tested it with some spacers on the backside.
Still some tweaking to do, but I like it. I already have the needed bracing figured out. The rear brace needs to keep it just above the pivot arm. It will wrap around the sides of the fork and will be secured with the pivot arm screws. Then I will make a simple brace that comes up from the brake bosses.
