I needed to test out the new saddle before I took the time to fix it up. So I went out for a little 4th of July ride.

Found this cool Ural sidecar motorcycle and couldn't pass up a photo op.

Then stopped in front of the decorated Sorrell Weed Mansion.

To be honest. If I didn''t have the Mothra bars, these would be staying on the bike. I like the look of them. While riding, it's almost the same as the Mothras since the grips are in approximately the same height and orientation.

Thought I'd be in the minority, but I dare say I like that bike just as it sits (with the proposed checkerboard accents added). No fins, no banana saddle, no freakishly over-sized/under-slung bars. You like to lean toward the outrageous, but I see nothing wrong with understated outrage. It kinda feels like...trouble brewing.

I like it as it is here too. Clean of doodagnabbery,
and... those mothras look right at home on the big screamer you have.

Carl.

I'm gonna be honest.
I think the mothra bars look cool, but not sure they belong.
The butterfly bars don't hit the mark.

What other bars do you have?

Imelda Barcos is only giving us 2 bars to choose from? :grin:
I actually like Toro1978 's idea. Something more 'racy' and lower. That joint at your extended chain stay and down tube, mimic that some how. Maybe Chad at Chop Shop Customz has one of his available? I seem to remember his designs emulating kind of what I'm imagining. Everything else you have here with the frame, seat, wheels / tires, has such a cohesive style. The front end is already pretty high with the fork. I'm thinking something to 'draw it in' more and tighten it up. My .02.
Here's one I found on Chad's facebook page....

Butterfly pulled back;
To line up , with fork tube ,angle.:39:

They are lined up with the fork tube, it is just that the rear section of the butterfly is lined up. If you look at most Sears Screamer pics, that is the way these bars are supposed to be. To me, anytime that any apes are pulled too far back they look like they are setup for the younger brother to ride the big brothers bike (and usually also have the nanner slammed low.
