Today I setup the table under the porch to create my kingfish machine shop. Bolted the two dropouts together and drilled an extra mounting hole through both of them.

Got the dropouts bolted up.

Very happy with them so far. Bolted on the wheels with a couple of spacer washers. I still have a slow leak in the rear tube, but it holds 25psi long enough for mockups.

If the springer is flipped forward, you won't have the stops to keep the tire from contacting the fork and causing a crash.

I don't plan to flip the springer legs. I'll have to make sure that rocker stops the wheel from springing before the tire stops everything against the underside of the fork, otherwise, the pavement will stop my face. :D
 
That fat tire fits pretty well now. I’ll keep that trick in mind for future builds.

It wasn't that hard either. This is actually my first attempt as pure dropout extensions.

The closest I came was the 1939 Twin Flex inspired suspension rear end I did for Flexy in BO7.

Thanks brother. I'm pleased with it so far. Looking at the pics, I am probably going to need to work out an extension for the coaster brake arm as well. Or at least get creative on an extended brake arm clamp.

I am really please with the flexibility I've gained with this work table.

It's interesting that you mention that because I almost said the same thing in my previous post! But then decided to just wait and see what you would do and held back on commenting.

I was thinking how there is a good opportunity to have some fun with the brake arm/clamp.

Yes, good chance to scavenge through my goodwill/yard sale random "bike" fodder that is more for homes than bicycles.

I learned that on a 56 X53 I restored back in 1977. Up and over!

Couple years ago I had a front hub that was a bit too narrow for a replica monark fork, I added an extra lock nut to each side, might be easier to deal with than a stack of washers

It might be just as easy to fab up a new brake arm that reaches further.
