Super quality and detail to your build! That chromed cassette just melds right into the pie plate and fits all your other shiny bits. Your photography is equally impressive! :113:

There will be a Finished Builds thread up around July 1st so keep taking photos, save your process photos, and be ready to select one photo for your Final Voting photo and lots of others for your Finished thread. Nice work, and I love the vids! :inlove: Maybe a live action ride video?

Take me to the other s-i-i-i-ide.

Winter is arguably the best time of year for riding here in Brisbane. Today (Friday) was a perfect example - 23c (74f), light winds and sunny.
So I knocked off work early and got in my first serious ride on Le Mirage - my regular 20km run around the Bayside from my place.
Very enjoyable it was too. The fastest I've ever done the circuit. The bike covers distance really nicely and holds pace well.
I am going to fit a taller quill to take some pressure off wrists - but it's not urgent.

Very happy with the way it's come together. As evidence by ...

Looks like the road bridge at Thornside in that first shot.

As far as the Build-Off is concerned it's done.

I'll get my finished photos together over the next few days but apart from that the machine has gone into fleet service.

I did a 10km errands run this afternoon and when I got home Mrs BDC said "That was quick!"
"Yep - it's a fast bicycle!" I crowed.

And that hill is steeper than it looks :) .

Excellent! For the Finished Thread ( they usually open for the last month of the Build Off, so around July 1st) have some 'before and after' photos paired up to see the changes, designs, upgrades you made. That's always interesting. I'd also include one or more of your videos of your process, I enjoyed them!

They were a fast bike without all the express shipping energy imparted.🤣😉

A lot of good photos there. The shop photo has a nice 'hot rod car shop' vibe; but the detail on the bike build itself isn't as clear as some others. These are my top two favs for your Final Photo:

Number 1: The background really let's your bike show off all your work well, and the old bridge has a real 'ratty ' look to it and adds to the mood. Also the matching helmet and backpack are nice props.

In this other photo, my Number 2 pick, your bike just 'pops' (I hate the overuse of that phrase, but in this case, that's what it does!) with the sun hitting it!
