1" - 1-1/8" steerer tube swap

Looking at mounting an x-53 springer (1" steerer tube) on to a steel tank frame Felt sized for a 1-1/8" fork. Any ideas before i go to a maching shop and have them mill the steerer tube right out of the fork so i can weld in a larger one?

If I understand this right, you're wanting to put a 1" fork in a 1 1/8" headtube. If so you could just buy some reducers and a 1" headset.

Looks like reducers will do it. If i decide to do it to it.

It's probably mock up time..
