i just found this ad on kijiji
http://london.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell- ... Z113924688

made a mad dash for the phone (the ad's already a couple weeks old)
turns out, its all getting picked up tomorrow. (tentitive sale) i tried to squeeze my way in there today to pull a few bikes, but i guess i'm outta luck.

apparently the pic's show a very very small portion of the bikes but parts also. he's even got some new in the box boys 60's/70's muscle bikes (ccm cobra, etc)
might as well just poop on my cornflakes!

on a positive note, he said it's being sold to a lbs in my area (he's a couple hours away)
i bet its that place in almer that has 3000 rusty bikes rotting away in a barn type attic, and you'd dam near have to hold em hostage to get em to sell ya an old seat, let alone a bike!

Wow...that would be a cool find...talk about a time capsule!!!

no doubt!

he says, "you have no idea just how much stuff is there." he figures at least a few truck loads worth. (an all day project to load it up)

if he sold some of it to me, he wouldn't have to carry as much! :)

That would be a fun find. I wonder what the price was? That would be the makings of a nice ebay shop.

Dude, you HAVE to be there tomorrow, call in sick from work, and meet the prospective buyer. Once in a lifetime shots like this cant be let go too easily. Tell him you represent a consortium of old bike officianados ( those folks of course being your rat-brethern  ) who have a vested interest in ensuring those bikes and parts are put to the use for whaich the were intended!!!!
Meanwhile, i'll be here. slapping myself in the side of the head for not searching widely enough. Kijiji is one of the sites I check regularly, but apparently I need to broaden my parameters  :| :(

he's gonna give me a call tomorrow and let me know what happen's, if there was anything there not going to take and the store there heading too. (said it's in my area, but wouldn't supply a name as of yet)
says he has lots of mustang parts. even those real wide apes ya can't seem to find anywhere.

now if i can just figure out how to close down the Q.E.W. (major highway to welland) for a couple days, we'll be set. :)

btw rick, think i'm gonna go check out that other place tomorrow.

I hear these make short work of highway overpasses

Good thinking, make it later in the day, if your hunch is right, you might find a u-haul parked out back.
Do what you can to get your contact info to the new buyer. I've been trying to get a former bike store employee to join the mustang group. He replied to my post over at bike forums, and was able to decode my mustangs serial number based on his personal sales ledger from back in the day. Imagine the stories he could tell, and the potential of tracking down other former employees/ sales reps,...
