In for the triple threat, my skinny build will be based off this Shelby frame, since it’s already blue maybe SHELBY-COBRA inspired build..

Maybe a matching fat blue tank with a white stripe on each side of the top of the tank. I mean as long as you're fabricating a tank... Looking good.

He was a "performance consultant" for the original plans. So all of them are sort of Shelbys. But there is one...

I've lived within pedaling distance to this museum for over ten years now and have not been yet. My youngest brother and I have a pact and as soon as he gets over here for a visit we are going to check it out together. He lives near The Petersen and the next time I visit him, we are going to make a first visit to that museum together as well. We're not motorheads per-se, but we both know enough to not threaten man card revocation and also know what we like. Carroll Shelby is an American Hero to both of us.

Looking forward to seeing how this build progresses. I like the panel tank idea, keeping it aero and having a space for some "rally stripe white" accent.

I travelled to LA for work once a year in January and always headed to the Petersen if I had the time. Amazing collection. Make sure you get to the see the cars in the Vault too. I have also been to the Shelby Musuem in Vegas a few times. The highlight was seeing Carroll's early 260 Cobra (no longer owned by the museum) and the twin Paxton supercharged Cobra. Another museum definitely worth checking out is the Mullin museum north of LA.
