1961 Schwinn Tornado

A picker found this for me, I can't find much info on the Tornado, were they are short run

That particular version is not that common, but the model name lasted a while. I had one with a regular cantilever frame and chrome S-7's. There are a couple of recent posts on here somewhere about that frame type.

The Tornado was introduced in late '57 as a '58 model, they made it through 1961. It was replaced in 62 with the new Typhoon, which used a similar frame. In '61 there was also Flying Star and Skipper models that use the same frame. -Adam
