Found this gem on ebay...found out it was only a couple miles from the house...found out it was being sold by an old chum from high school..
...found out he was selling it for his mum (such a good boy) who bought it at a garage sale 10-15 years ago...found out it had been hanging
in said garage til a couple weeks ago...found out Schwinn only built this bike for one year...found just one more reason to collect old bikes!

I know she's a little crusty around the edges, the seat is some little girls (hence much to small for my big bazoo) and the peddles are Western Auto (Flyer) replacements but I see a diamond in the rough...a one year only jewel!...Pappy 8)

Fantastic! I don't know why, but I was just thinking how crazy it would look to chop the legs off that rusty chair in the background and make it into some handlebars

harquahalas...you cut me to the bone, dude! You've kicked my cool new bike to the curb by mentally creating bicycle accessories from one of my favorite chairs!( I have the matching rocker but its still in the basement) You really know how to hurt a guy! L!O!L! Pappy 8)

Its all good my friend...I understand...you're only doing what comes as a natch to most people like us...FABRICATION in the MIND! Yes folks
that's right...it's an incurable disease but you can help by sending an old bike, free of charge, to just about any member of Rat Rod Bikes.com
Act TODAY!,as many of us suffer needlessly! HA!HA!...Pappy 8)

I've never seen one of those streamliners. Is that original pin striping on the seat tube? Looks like it. It's also looks like that dent in the tank was caused by the truss rod.

Open that tank up and see if there's some loot in there!

If you are skillful with a ball peen hammer, that tank dent will pop right out!

although keeping the dent gives the bike 'patina'.

pappy quit yer whining, i'm going to steal that chair while your at work anyway!!! make handlebars and a bike seat out of it.

Hey pappy, don't take this stuff about your chair, it looks new compared to some of the ones I have. you need some more chairs?
You bringing this bike to the club meeting this month? I want to ride it.

Hey Jon...maybe u shud lern 2 spel afore u tipe on the 'puter...not whinning ,you moron, its whining  LOL! Hey Don...yeah,I hope to ride it to a club event soon...need some S-7 tires & soak/clean/lube chain,ect.(TLC). I put a proper seat on it,as a a matter of fact the original seat from OL' BESSIE.Took the tanks to work to see if Steve had any idea how to pop the tank dents out without doing any more damage to the paint/silkscreens but he's been off with a serious back problem (been there!).You know Steve from Hiles and know he's a skilled silversmith used to dealing with dented stuff...more later, got a chain to deal with...PAPPY 8)

Hey Jon...NO FAIR going in and editing your post whilst I wasn't looking  ...Pappy 8)
