I picked this up at an auction a few weeks back, just needed a little cleaning, 26x1.75 wheels, 5 speed. the seat was touched up with white, and it is still sticky, any ideas on a way to strip it back to original, The auctioneer "Thinks" it is whiteout

to strip back start with the mildest method you can and work up.

warm water and dish soap. (and scrubbing) rinse/repeat

pledge and or endust will get spray paint off of other paint i doubt that would hurt the rubber too much.

the last thing i'd try is "goof off".

i wouldn't try thinner or remover.

nice bike, lover the purple

That's one dandy violet lightweight you picked up there....looks like a good frame size too.

From what I can tell....that thing will look mint after a couple of hours of detailing.

You don't know how bad I'd like to get my hands on that thing.

Nice score that bike looks clean .Good luck with it..I still wonder why I can only find Girls bikes like that..LOL.I feel on coming one day...

Motsenbacher's Lift-off #5 will take paint off of vinyl w/no adverse effects of any kind! I find it in the paint section @ Home Depot. Later & PEACE!!!!
