Found this in a barn in Plains, Georgia! It has some minty paint under the 12 years of dust! Also sports a set of Androck Newspaper Baskets and Carlisle Slik w/o cracks! It is missing the original bars but overall it is worth it!

just a guess, but with the rear baskets on, id say it pushes the 3 speed linkage over some, in turn they probably bent the chainguard in too to prevent snags and consequently, the guard rubbed the tire resulting in the chainguard being altered to fit.

am i full of BS or what

the chainguard is not cut, it is just bent downward. thanks! i was floored when i saw it but i played it cool and hymned and hawd about what to offer. finally i offered $25, she said "hell yeah, i'll even pull it out of the shed and bring it to your car!" She was like.....'its an orange color' and I am looking at it, 'yeah..... orange.... :D '

Nice! Yeah orange.... :D I had that load in the car in less than a minute. It's funny, They run a business in Plains and do business on ebay. I am so happy with this score. It will be stored next to the '64 Coppertone Stingray and my Patriotic Repop Stingray.
