1968 CCM Rambler Scrambler

Pretty sure that's what I have here. This bike was in a warehouse space full of bikes, under an enormous knot of beaters. The original purple finish called me. I had to have it.

Got it home. Broke it all down. Cleaned and lubed it up.

Found a NOS Norco slick. Threw it on to keep things Canadian. Also added the Gulco reflector.

I have the fenders, but no chain guard. Might hunt one down should I decide to bring it all the way back.
But for now I like the bare, no nonsense look.

Nice clean looking bike. Dig that frame. Is the front rim/tire 1 3/8? Looks slightly taller than the rear.

Yes, the front is a 1 3/8.
Truth be told, the rear slick has no air in it. I used the tube that came with the bike when I bought it. Didn't know there was a slow leak till morning after "completion."

Great lines on that, been thinking a muscle bike build with my Raleigh Mountie I picked up last fall, this has me inspired now
