1972 Schwinn Varsity-Rotten Banana

Does this not look like a rotten banana?

My friend called me the other day and said he had a bike sitting in front of him at an estate sale. I asked what it was, he said it was a varsity for $25, Told him to offer $15, and he walked away with it for $20. I was worried it was a girls bike and he pulled this out of his dad's truck, I was happy. It is a very sweet bike, its in actually GREAT condition, the brown allover the place isnt really rust, its like...tar? It rides amazing, all i did when i got it is put some new tires on it.

I geuss the last owner was a girl, and she said she got it in 1969, and she wanted a mens bike since theyre stronger. I dont know what she said since i wasnt there.

I have never seen the seat before...Is it valuable?

Nice find! Wish I still had my old varsity. My brother borrowed it one day and left it in front of his friend"s house. It was promptly stolen!
