1980 Schwinn Preditor-Cromo????

I'm thinking of buying a 1980 Schwinn Preditor-Cromo BMX frame and "Pork chopping" it up. With me living right next to there shop its not hard to get parts. What do you guys think? Is it a good purchase. Is it even worth buying and whats the history on these bikes. They where made just about decade before I was born so not exaxtly my experties! As much as I would like a Hutch or Redline my budget doesn't allow them, I'm just hoping that the Schwinn would made a good alternate.

I liked them, I had an '87 with the stand on dropouts. Depends on price, if it's cheap I'd do it as a fun build. As far as value goes I have seen some original ones go for up to $200 locally.

It's in mint condition with all the original decals. All chrome frame.... Dude it's sweet. I wanna put Skyway mags baby blue free style tires on it. Man my juices are flowing!
