Found this holy grail the other day at a local flea market. 1985 Mongoose ATB Pro Series
(All Terrain Bicycle)

I was born in 1985 so this is extra cool for me.

This thing is about as minty as it gets. Can't wait till I have time to clean it up.

Cateye Solar powered bike computer! Problem with those is there are no oem type batteries anymore. They came with a rechargeable button type. You can put a regular battery in to make it work but those don't recharge. Cateye programmed these to work with ANY wheel size. from 1 cm to 1 meter. I know a couple of surveyors that used them as it was far faster than chain or lazer surveying at the time.

And the Sanyo generator. Far better than the bottle type. Not for knobby tires though.

And drilled rims in the 1980s! Wow.

I sold Specialized Hard Rocks and Rock Hoppers when those first came out in 1982 or so. This looks like a copy. Well why not, Specialized RND stole the design. Ripoff aNd Duplicate. I wouldn't be surprised if it was made in the same factory.
