This is a 1998 Western Flyer Cruiser. Another one of my late brother's project bikes. I was with him at the Ann Arbor swap when he picked it up. I don't think he ever got to work on it.

22 year old Kendas are toast. Cleaned and lubed hubs. Added new tires and rim strips.

Test ride yesterday, Seat is tiny and seat post too short. :arghh:

Does not help that the seat is set all the way forward too. Bike generally feels too small but will try different seat and maybe longer post and try it again.

A dig thru the stash found no seat post that will fit. Tried a different seat but still cant get proper leg extension. :(

Don't they have 22,2mm seat post? Maybe you may find just some thick wall tubing lying around, 7/8" is quite a popular standard.
