1st gen rat fink 3 sp. handlebar size info needed

anybody know what size gooseneck thickness part of them is needed if going to different style ? thanks danny

Most bicycles have a 1" clamp area, some bmx type are 7/8" double clamp.

so 28 mm should be close enough to a stock electra full size 3 sp rat fink

I dunno if you can make them work or not. 1"=25.4mm. 28mm bars are 1 1/8" motocross bars, you'd probably have to ream out the clamp and I don't know if there's enough material to remain strong enough.

If you have a 1" stem & are trying to use 7/8" bars they make shims to make up the difference

im not at bike now was just seeing if anyone knew off top of their head what size came on a stock 05 rat fink ,as im looking on ebay to buy a set of cruisers not sure to get 7/8 or 1 inch to fit stock bike
