2 latest finds

Picked these 2 up today. '48 Columbia Superb and '66 Columbia Playbike. I payed a tad more than I like to for these but I can't seem to pass on a Columbia, Im up to 6 now! Any thoughts on what you guys whould have payed for the Superb would be great...just want to know if I did ok on it or not?!

hey Bri ...both are very cool ..really like the muscle bike ..I think the most I spent on a muscle bike was 75.00 and 50 .00 on a old cruiser bike . good bikes great score ....tin

I would pay 75 for the cruiser and 50 for the muscle :wink:

Thanks. And I went into you CT guys backyard to get them! The guy still has these 2 nice ladies bikes for sale. The '39 is a beautiful and the '61 is a Firebolt and looks almost new. You guys should check him out.

I saw those right after he put them up on CL, so I know what he was asking. More than I would pay and they literally were right down the street from me. Keep the Columbia and ride it. Your pictures make the bike look better than his did.

What he was asking for the Playbike ($50) wasnt a steal but it was fair so I took a nice scenic ride down Route 6 to grab it. When I got there the guy was trying to sell me all the bikes for a decent package price but I decided to pass on the girls bikes. Picked these 2 up for what he was asking for the Superb alone. Not a score but like I said I really have been digging Columbias lately so I didnt mind paying a little more. I do ok flipping the mountain and road bikes so I can afford to buy something at full price for a (for now) keeper.

Didnt know you were so close...I'll have to make sure im quick when hitting the CT Craigs list from now on!

If the rims match, that Superb's worth at least a Benjamin. Maybe even Grant to keep him company. :mrgreen: The Playbike? I guess the price was fair, but I got no use for it. :wink:
