I went out to the town were I work last night to pick up a fender for Jlarkin. The guy I was looking for wasn't home (sorry John) so I left a message, pulled out of his drive and turned left down the alley to head home and looky what I found. Two 50's era Hercules 3 speeds and two Monark built bikes. Ones a 20" Firestone Pilot and the other is a 26"Spiegel Airman....I believe these to both be prewar but I'll let the experts tell me.

I talked to the lady that lived there. She told me she was 92 and these belonged to her family. They tore down the building that they were stored in and had sat them out for the junk man (turns out thats me). If I hadn't been looking for that fender, I wouldn't have found these.....thanks John :D Sometimes it's just about being in the right place!

No Chris, I don't want to get rid of the chain guard

Ouch, Jeff. Was that necessary? :D Killer scores, the Hercules bikes are really neat in their own right and yes, of course I would like to have the Airman -for the chainguard specifically. Sure you don't want to sell it? My first thought upon seeing it was that I should send a pm, lol.

Glad I could help11!!!1  Now don't start throwing stuff away again, I might want it. I could fix that kid's fender! :p And the seat on the Airman is a good one to redo, seriously. It looks like a Lobdell.

I can see you fixing the little one for the grandson.
