At first sight it was "just another Breeze", but then I noticed the Yellow Band 2 speed kickback, my 1st yellow band. I have several red ones, I know it has been gone over many times before, What is the difference again?,

Those should look mint with a little elbow grease.

I didn't think there was a difference between the two hubs except for the color.

Someone once told me that Schwinn had a tendency to use certain color hubs with certain colored bikes.

Not really sure if there is any truth to that.

yellow and red have the same gearing (1:1 and an underdrive / better for hills), but different brake parts (red has a clutch, yellow has drum brakes)

blue has different gearing (1:1 and an overdrive/faster) from the other 2 but has drum brakes like the yellow, blues were usually on 20" bikes.

nice find on the tandem, that thing looks slick !!!
