The PUB was a comfortable bike nice riding bike.

I'm not a huge fan of the low stretched cruiser frames because I hate having to constantly be cautious about launching myself in a turn if a pedal gets jammed into the street.

Sweet bike! But While the official meaning of “PUB” may be Public Utility Bike, me thinks they intentionally used those initials on it for its real purpose of bar hopping!

This bike was made for one year in 2006 by Raleigh. The P.U.B. stands for Public Utility Bike. MSRP was $385.00.

It's a very large bike and the frame is aluminum with the flat foot geometry so it's really comfortable to ride.

The paint color is called "Stout" and there's a built-in bottle opener near the tank area for those cold beverages.

Despite the large size, the bike is surprisingly light weight with the aluminum frame and components.

I bought this from a freight salvage company that was selling it really cheap because the springer fork had been bent in transit.

After several attempts to straighten the bent fork I gave up and let the bike hang in my garage.

I was talking with Mitch at Bicycle Exchange and he said he would try to track down a replacement fork.

After a few phone calls to Raleigh Mitch managed to find a replacement springer and now the bike is as good as new.
