22" Schwinn Enduro

A friend found this '87 Schwinn Enduro in a field near his house and dropped it by for me last night. It is in pretty rough shape. The frame has a dent in the down tube just above the BB, the rear rim looks to have been attacked by a can opener, the handle bars are twisted, and the BB is frozen solid. Besides that stuff it is a neat little bike. Don't know what I am going to do with it yet, time will tell.

The reason the bikes all messed is because the grass cutting machine some time ago tryed being friends with the bike... lol I've seen it happen before.

That's what i was thinking maybe a combine came by and tried to eat it and decided it was to tough and spit it out.

I've witnessed it, theres a large field behind where I live and they use a gigantic over sized lawntractor thing, but the bike that one hit was oblitherated and shredded into pieces. It's built tough because who knows whats under all that tall grass! it's pretty neat how yours suvived

Here's the one I use to have i think it was from the 90's somewhere there is a Schwinn internet catalog thingy that has info on this, I ended up getting tires straight from a Schwinn dealer[img]http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg195/holyrollin72/rallye007.jpg[/img]

Are these Schwinns the sole source for 22" wheels? I was gifted a 22" front wheel (with purple hub), and was wondering about it.

I think others made 22"s as well, but I am not 100% sure.
