This was in my girlfriends garage, its her grandfather childhood bike.

Im going to restore it and surprise him with it, its just been sitting.

Royal blue frame, cream rims and rust free all other places.


Does anyone maybe know what kind of bike this is?

I am pretty sure it is a Monark. Nice looking bike as is. I probably wouldn't do much to it as it already has that look I like.

im still not sure what brand, the front badge has been painted over and is in too bad of shape to even tell.

the front rim cleanned nice with steel whoole and turtle wax, the rear has old house paint on it.
the hubs cleanned up great!
the front is just a standard hub and the rear is a new departure model d (it has an oiling cup).

the frame will be blasted along with the forks and fenders.

i planned on painting the frame and forks with prime, then base coat royal blue then afew thick layers of clear.

for the fenders im going to try to match them to the cream rims.


anyone know of a cool black wall 24" tire?
