Here's the deal I am building another motorized bike with one of those chinese kits and can't decide to go with a 24x3 rear tire or a 26x2.25. I would like to use a 24 but I don't think the chains will clear it, has anyone done this before? By the way the frame is a old heavy weight Schwinn cruiser.
Thanks,
Bryan

haha i have been thinking the same thing for my next motorized project. i'll have to watch this for an answer.

id go with the 26"

I would not go with the 24x3 unless you had an unusually wide rear hub,and even then i think it would end up binding up the chainline or chewing though the tire.

just an opinion though

I had to use a few crank spacers on my Schwinn cruiser to get a 24" x 3" to clear the chain and it just barely did.
