today when i got to work, there was this turquise girl's 10 speed dropbar roadbike that looked abandoned at the bike rack. long story short, it was given to a fellow manager of mine by a lady that bought it for her niece 20 years ago, she never rode it and it sat in a barn till now. i told him id give him 27 cents (for his morning coffie) and he said it was mine. so i ended up towing it home next to me with my cranbrook 3 miles to home.
sorry no picts till monday
, BUT has anyone here ever heard of a "claridge" gran concor?
its a girl's 10 speed in turquoise original paint in still new condition, dry rot 26 x 1 3/8th tires with drop bars. has a nice lugged frame with cottered 3pc cranks and "charger" derailleurs with stem twin shifters (looks very shimano falcon knockoff circa 84). frame says made in the taiwan republic of china. now i don't know why i keep getting girls bikes, but for 27 cents it sure rode great aftter i aired the tires and took it for a 5mile test ride. i normally don't like 10 speed road bikes, especially with drop bars, but this cruiser lover was impressed.
