Took the kids on a snooze cruise on Saturday. Picked up a NEXT aluminum BMX frame/fork/bar set up in really good shape and an olive green DYNO freestyle bike nearly complete (just needs front tire, and some cables/brake work). Then on the way home spotted a free full suspension youth MTB (just a wall mart rig) Thruster brand, weighs about 150lbs. but has some good hardware on it. Then my friend Steve came by to look at some of my left over building materials for his greenhouse and he delivered a Trek Jet kids bike. 12" wheels i think. This is great as i can bring it over to grandma's house for all the kids to use.

sounds like a great day of finds. wish you had picts though. i have a feeling that alot of those nexts will be showing up in free piles or give aways in the future. have an 07' next power x full susp mtn bike and that bike is a dog on and offroad. my 08' next la jolla on the other hand has about 400 miles on it and going strong.

i will probably post up the BMX stuff in Freetrade or bring it down to Northaven if someone is interrested. The GT is probably the best of the bunch, the Thruster or whatever it is is a parts queen and the aluminum Next...i dont know. even though it is just a wall mart bike, it is a decent looking aluminum frame. Nothing i have interest in though.

Hey Walker, you could always take your Sawsall to that aluminum frame! Unless it doesn't look like a '37 Hiawatha! That '37 was a girls frame wasn't it? Seems like I saw (no pun intended), a picture of that here, but, I don't think it was in the classifieds.

Hey now Quanah, i'm not just all about the sawsall . And yes the 37 was a ladies, but not anymore.

The 37 project did require the cutting up of a 90's Jazz Vertical MTB for some donor steel and modificication of a vintage Rock Shock Quadra fork. No real loss there...

Just razzin' ya! I had some beautiful '37 Hiawatha pictured in my mind, even though it was under, not in, a barn, thinkin' how can anyone cut this up? I've just located your pic of it when you brought it home, did the tetanus shot hurt? I can't seem to find your project with it now. Would really like to see some pics. Hey Walker, was that quote, "I came, I SAW, I conquered", first said by you? Only kiddin', couldn't resist my own foolishness! All in fun.

Sorry, no Hiawatha in my basement either. Just working on the wooden ballance bike, excelsior super secret project, surprise frame mod for BankerRat, finishing the house and cutting up bikes.
