Did this for my son a few years back. It was my father-in-law's bike (RIP). He asked me to change the bars, said they were to narrow. And change the seat, finally had enough of the hairpin seat. He wanted it to go a little "faster", changed the sprocket, a few more teeth. Know what that means. THAT MEANS HE'S USING IT! :D There's a couple of nicks to touch up, then it goes back to him. He said when he's OLD, he'll pass it on to his daughter.. Here's pics from the beginning. (he don't have to know the seat came from WalMart)

still say you shouldve just hit it with rubbing compound!(see my brains not completely gone yet :p )
looks even better now and glad to see this one again

Much better with the new seat. Great bike with simple additions that go a long way toward the look.

Really like the colors you chose for the frame. Plus, that 2 tone looks really good, and really easy. You've inspired me :D

harquahalas, my philosopy in life: If it ain't easy, I ain't doing it. :D

It's Krylon. Two tone done, then clear coated. I painted that bike in 28 degree weather. Kept the paint and frame in the house, nice and warm. Brought it outside, put a coat on (the bike), then brought it back in. Being two tone it was easy to handle the frame, because it was not painted all at once. Can't tell from the pics, but that thing is smooth and as shiny as glass. I wouldn't recommend it, unless you have experience on how paint handles, but the bike was a birthday gift for my son, in February. The only paints I'll use (rattle can) is Krylon or Dupli-Color.
