Paid $40 for the whole pile. I would of paid that just for the cap mountain bike that has Fat Franks, lol.

Great buy! A 60's Schwinn men's frame, a CWC from the 50's, and the black/red w the chain guard looks 50's or maybe a little earlier.

WOW!!! One of the Fat Franks is worth what you paid for the lot.

I was thinking the black/red one with a guard was actually a Worksman.

They all seem to have a different chain wheel, the CWC has a Ross chain wheel, the Hawthorne has a Schwinn, maybe from the black Schwinn frame. The year if stamped on it might match. The Schwinn has what looks like a Wald chain ring. Plenty of good things to work with, still can't figure what kind of frame the Hawthorne is.

I'll give you the 40$ back for what looks to be the black & red CwC men's frame [emoji106]

My guess is that the Hawthorne is a Hawthorne Flyer, probably early/mid 30s, more than likely Schwinn built. Later Hawthornes are usually CWC- or Snyder-built, but some of those old 28"-wheel moto-style Hawthornes are Schwinn-built. From what i've seen, the bolt for the seatpost is a good indicator.

@Corykip, you cored big-time with this haul.

EDIT_ lookin' at it again, that frame could easily be Snyder-built, too. Close-ups of the joints and a serial might help. It seems like Schwinn only built the "Deluxe" versions of the Flyer...

Thanks for all the input boys!!
The two rear drop out frames ended up being pretty rough with multiple holes being drilled in them for one thing or another. The black schwinn ended up having some rust pitting holes as well. The 3 sold yesterday to a fellow vender at the long Beach bike/motorcycle swap for $120. He had sold the Hawthorne before the end of the day so we all did pretty good.
