Mind.........So here it is! Like said at the start. My goal was to build this 1940 Schwinn LaSalle with enough original parts to make people think I “ruined” a perfectly good original, rather than cobble one together with parts from all over the country. A little bit of customization and a few key 60’s style hot rod parts, along with a ton of elbow grease to get all the metal matching, and I got the exact look I was going for. Thanks a lot for looking!

Lol, thanks!Yes…Yes…YES!!
Appreciate it, man! This was a fun one!Extremely sick bike. Excellent execution of your vision
Dude! speed holes in the seat frame, I'm totally stealing that idea! that whole bike is just perfectSo somehow I messed around and am once again trying to get everything up at the last minute. The bike is done but have a lot left to post! Earlier I mentioned doing some drilling. Well, with a little help from my buddy Dave and his drill press we added some speed holes to the seat frame.View attachment 208334We also removed the front spring and and welded the frame directly to the tan on the pan. View attachment 208335So then I got busy matching the bare metal to the rest of the bike. Used some more stainless cap nuts on the bolt. The black Naugahyde look is perfect for the 60s rat rod look I’m going for. Got it all together and moved on to the next thing. View attachment 208338
