5 minutes on Craigslist - best sale ever

I picked up this Hiawatha ladies bike off Craigs Friday evening.

This bike is the most complete, original, old bike I've ever found - well except for RR's '65 Racer!

The person I bought it from said it had been in her family as long as she could remember,
and that her Father had probably won it in a poker game!

Today, Sunday, I decided to throw it at Craigslist and see if anyone wanted it more than I did.

5 minutes after posting the ad, my phone rang.
A sweet looking lady and her 2 excited daughters showed up about 30 minutes later.

She was really excited to find the bike, and even after I told her about the peeling chrome on the fenders, etc. she wanted it.
It rode pretty well with no problems. I cautioned her about the age of the tires, and we loaded it up.

It's really nice to sell to someone who will not part the bike out, and who instantly appreciates the find.

It was a good CL day!

That looks exactly like my wife's bike! She has had it since it was new, but it has been yard art for several years now. I keep trying to fix it up, but she wants to leave it like it is.

I picked up this 68 Camero from the original owner, on CL for 25 bucks. It cleaned up great, just the inner light housing was rusted beyond hope.

jaydub and wildcat, those are some sweet looking bikes. Obviously just differently marketed versions of the Hiawatha.

I know the Hiawatha is a Murray, like all the rest, but there was no indication except the Hiawatha decal.

I saw one identical to that on C-list here, I thought it was yours for a second till I saw you're in Connecticut.
