I started this bike off telling a story about Johnny owning this bike in So-Cal and customizing with apes and polo seat. Then a man name Al Fritz saw this and it became the inspiration for the Sting Ray. This is a cool little bike that is a blast to ride whether young or old.

Nice Bike cman, This bike looks alot like my first bike, built out of the leftovers all of the older guys in my neighborhood don't want. My dad and built it in about 1965 or 66. It was a fun bike until someone Stoled it. Makes want to build another.

Build it. It would be fun to try and recreate a parts is parts bike.

Hmm, some chalky scratched fenders, conventional bar and sprung seat, I could relive my very first (one of many  ) crash.

If nothing else, the "Johnny" story got me searching Al Fritz. There's a good interview with him here...
