'59 Parliament

Guy at work gave me this the other day, wish it was in better shape. I am looking for info on these, I started a thread in the "I.D. and Valuation" thread if anyone has info.



My problem.

I believe it was built by Raleigh. They built quite a few bikes under other names for department stores and other companies. From what I've seen, the frames are generally the same as the Raleigh badged bikes, but some of the other parts (seats, wheel rims, etc.) might be less expensive substitutes.

A shame about the frame on the '59 Parliament. If you ever part it let me know as I can use the bars, grips and brake levers, heck, I could use the brake calipers too. Let me know. BTW the forks are pretty bent too.

Yeah, I know. They should be an easy fix compared to the frame.
