'67 Schwinn Coppertone Lightweight

Ever since seeing Rat Rod's Coppertone Lightweight I decided I needed one for my own. Picked this '67 up off of CL on my way to work today. Not in the best shape, but original and complete. Should clean up nicely. And the SA three speed will make for a nice ride.

Nice score, even has the original generator and lights. those are almost always gone. I got a few sets hoarded back myself...lol

Most likely toss the generator into the parts drawer and convert both lights to LED.

Yeah I hear that, I only use mine on my army bike but it rides fairly slow because it's heavy, my rat-tracker keeps blowing bulbs when I go too fast. probably switch it to LED before long.

These are great and STUNNING bikes when they are all cleaned up. Just start soaking the hub with something now through the oiler port. They are usually all gunked up and reluctant to shift if they have sat for long. Nice score!

With a big influx of bikes this week I needed to do something to remind me not to sell this one before I get a chance to get to my restoration. I went to get a rack for the back and ended up with a basket like my bike at work has. I love the one on that bike and this will make runs to the corner store a little easier.
